This is an exercise from a book. It started out fairly well until I got to the actual flowers. After repeated attempts and too much color (these were meant to be "white" flowers), I ended up dashing it all and added ink outlines - sort of makes the flowers look like they are sitting on top of the rest of the painting.

It is actually kinda cool . I understand it is not what you intended, but cool never the less. I saw a few paintings in the splash book that did that outline thing. What did you use? I used to use sharpie but i hear it fades. There is some pen that many artists fill with dark paint. got one?
